_Resolution to Support Senate Bill 21, known as the "Voter Choice Act"

Whereas. Article 1, Section 5 of the Constitution of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania mandates that, "Elections shall be free and equal...:" ; and
Whereas, the current ballot access laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania impose an undue and unequal burden on all political parties seeking to offer an alternative choice to the established Democrat and Republican Parties ; and ,
Whereas, the current ballot access laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as applied to independent candidates and candidates of political bodies and minor political parties are in violation of the mandate of the Pennsylvania Constitution that "Elections ... be free and equal" and deny the voters of the Commonwealth a "free and equal" choice of political parties and candidates on the ballot;
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Constitution Party of Pennsylvania strongly endorses SB 21, known as the "Voter Choice Act," whose primary sponsor is State Senator Mike Folmer and urges all Constitution Party members and all citizens of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to support this bill and demand that their state legislators take immediate action to pass this legislation for the benefit of all the voters of the Commonwealth of Pennyslvania.
